I hear a lot of people nowadays complain that no one is making “real” music anymore. In my opinion, this is a common misconception because it is all around us. You just have to know where to look. This is where Nashville Unsigned comes in ;). So where is that originality and that authentic, genuine sound that you’ve been searching high and low for? Well, I present to you, Ryan Scott Travis. With a tone smoother than a calm lake’s surface, Ryan has coined a new genre “Texacana” and as far as I’m concerned, is leading the way in this regard. The Americana, folk vocals overlap neatly with his Texas hill country roots. Ryan Scott Travis released his last album, “The Guadalupe Breakdown” in 2015, produced by Grammy award-winning producer Mitch Dane. The blend of modern lyrics, string instruments, and his warm vocals are a match made in heaven. It’s almost impossible to not fall in love and be hypnotized by his melodious vocals. It will put you in a daze and have you daydreaming of rolling hills, tall grass, and young love. So instead of eating some comfort food, enjoy some of Ryan Scott Travis’s comforting vocals!

In 2016, Ryan Scott Travis released an acoustic video on Modest House Sessions that will blow your mind. It’s a raw and vulnerable version of his song “Friends/Yarn” that will tug at your heartstrings. It truly showcases Ryan Scott Travis’s talent and ability to evoke emotions through his music.
