What about HER?

From NYC, the infamous HER is creating their own pathway of funky psychedelic,  rock hard airwaves. Monique of HER “was New York City when New York City was cool”, as she would say. Monique Staffile, the lead vocalist of HER, began songwriting at an early age of 9 and had her first gig at only 13 years young. Talk about having some chops. HER was so impressive that we had to bring them back for round 2 with Nashville Unsigned.

The band has done several tours in Europe and continues to hypnotize fans from all over. It’s no surprise as The Infamous HER has seemed to find their own unique niche. Blending musical influences that Monique grew up jamming to including hard rock, classic rock, and old-school hip-hop. HER is the product of that influence and we couldn’t think of a better genre love child.

Music Video Mania

Speaking of being unique, HER has a knack for releasing the most bomb and mesmerizing music videos. In case you missed it, be sure to check out the infamous HER’s newest video for new jam, “Rock With Me” here.

Let’s Start A Chain Reaction

AND Speaking of that NEW NU, the infamous HER just dropped a brand-spankin’ new funkadelic album called “Chain Reaction”. Rightfully named as it caused the best musical reaction in my eardrums. “Chain Reaction” seems to be a step in a different musical direction in terms of HER’s sound, and I’m digging every step. While there is definitely some solid rock jams on the album, there are some slower, ballad-like tracks like “Sun Goes Black” that you could listen to on a great escape out of town. What struck a “chord” with me about HER was that it was clear that they are as unique as they are fun to listen to.

If you didn’t already, “Rock With Me” will make you want to rock out with the infamous HER. The video paints a perfect picture of the band’s zero fucks ‘tude. Especially when it comes to showcasing Monique’s personality as a unique artist. “I want to climb over boarders, I want to drive outside the lines, I want to make people feel connected. I want to tell a story – I want to give them something to remember”, Monique lays it down. Well, they have certainly accomplished giving you music to remember that allows you to take part in HER’s musical journey.

Already having a sweet spot for badass females that can rock and melt your face off at the same time (Female Empowerment all the way). I may be girl crushing on HER. But seriously stop “Taking Up Space” and, go take a listen to “Chain Reaction” right now before the new NU isn’t so new.
