MAGIC FROM WITHIN AN INSTRUMENT

There’s a certain bit of magic that comes along with sharing an instrument that has history. John Mayer has discussed the aura that seemed to emanate from one of Stevie Ray Vaughn’s Fender stratocasters when he had the opportunity to get his hands on one. Imagine a young country star getting the chance to play Willie Nelson’s famous acoustic guitar, Trigger.” Might an artist feel a special kind of supernatural charm and confidence strumming an original song on the strings of an instrument such as that?

Tomorrow night, Laurel Wright of The Young Fables will get her chance to experience the magic. The duo plays The City Winery in Nashville, TN for their album release party. And there’s a little something extra planned by Shure Microphones.

SHURE Microphones Super 55 Deluxe

AN OPPORTUNITY FOR SHURE !

Ryan Smith, Artist Relations Manager of Shure Microphones, connects the dots to the mystique. During a meeting with The Young Fables’ manager Patryk Larney, the two listened to Laurel Wright’s popular rendition of “Crazy” by Patsy Cline. The executive made a impromptu offer that the Modern Traditional Country duo couldn’t refuse. Shure microphones will be loaning the act a custom built Shure Super 55 Deluxe microphone for their big night.

Miranda Lambert performs with custom Super 55 Deluxe at the 2017 CMAs

You may have seen this special dynamic mic before. Miranda Lambert recently used the Shure microphone for her historic performance of “To Learn Her” at the 2017 CMA Awards. Most viewers may recognize the model for its vintage style casing because it has garnered the street name “Elvis Mic”. But you won’t find this one on the shelf at your local music store. Part of the agreement with Shure, The Fables agree to return the one-of-a-kind microphone to the representative first thing Wednesday morning.

We at Nashville Unsigned assume Miranda might be wanting it back so she can experience some of the Laurel Wright magic that will soon be part of the mic’s unique history.
