Stealing Oceans New Album Nashville Unsigned

Stealing Oceans is a Nashville-based band that is hard to label under one genre. With a saxophone player, electric guitarist, pop elements and hip-hop infused rhymes; Stealing Oceans has the full-band feel accompanied with soul, style, and pizazz. Brian Thompson created Stealing Oceans with a mission to spread his message, “Stay Youthful, Be Grateful, and Always Love”.

Speaking of staying youthful, meet Boy Scout Billy, the alter ego of frontman Brian Thompson, that is a wide-eyed boy scout, full of energy and joy, ready to take on any obstacles in his path. Creating humorous and memorable videos depicting the world from a child’s eyes, S/O has cleverly branded themselves in a positive light, and have been stealing the ears of many.

Stealing Oceans On The Rise

Besides recently landing a spot at KAABOO festival in September that the Foo Fighters, Katy Perry, Imagine Dragons, and Robert Plant are headlining, Stealing Oceans started off their first world tour in April in Boston with a sold-out show, playing with Travis Porter and SOMO to promote their new music. Let The Kids Play is their newest EP that showcases the band’s high-energy and Brian Thompson’s personal experiences and views on the music biz in general.

From the beginning, Stealing Oceans has shown that they aren’t afraid of embedding pieces of truth into their lyrics. If you’ve ever seen them live, S/O flips on stage (actual backflips) and allows the crowd to easily feed off their high-spirited energy. It’s no surprise that they’ve won “Best Live Act” at the Nashville Industry Music Awards 3 years in a row.

Music Centered Around Positivity, Growth and Honesty

Lead vocalist, Brian Thompson, has chosen to lead a path free of alcohol and openly promotes mental health awareness. It has had a notable influence on their music and is just one of the many reasons to cheer them on. Promoting positivity and shedding some light on the good, bad and the ugly, is one of the most attractive things about this band. They recently threw a suicide prevention show benefitting the Connerstrong Foundation in Virginia.

After listening to Let The Kids Play, you will be reminded that it’s okay to have struggles, and it’s okay to share them with others. It’s okay to not be okay. In a world that can be so negative, S/O is here to provide you with music of substance and realness.
