Class 14: Sean C Kennedy
Lucky Number 7. We are 7 weeks into Class 14 and the later the number does not signify a drop in talent; this week we introduce Sean C Kennedy.
Bio: Sean C Kennedy
Sean C Kennedy is a singer-songwriter and guitarist from Ayrshire, Scotland. Sean has worked with established artists and producers, including Fred Mollin (Jimmy Webb) Andy Taylor (Duran Duran) and co-written songs ‘Watercolour Dreams’ & ‘Still Hanging On’ with Nik Kershaw. Influenced by the likes of Bonnie Raitt, Del Amitri, Bryan Adams, John Mayer, Amos Lee, and Prince, Sean began his musical journey after a leg injury ended his football career at the age of 20.
Sean underwent a stem cell bone transplant that required a grueling rehabilitation process. It was during his recovery that Sean discovered a voice. Sean has found a way to blend pop, rock, blues, soul & R&B with an alternative sound, using his influences with his own style in order to create something unique. In his words ‘it’s just a personality’. For the last 6 years Sean has travelled to Nashville, Tennessee to write & perform, working with writers/producers such as Jeff Bowman, Tofer Brown, Matthew Perryman Jones, (Razor & Tie/Concord Music), Fred Mollin (Jimmy Webb). Adam Box (Brothers Osborne).
In April 2018, Sean moved to Nashville full time. Recently performed at the famous Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and prestigious music venue Exit/In. 2020 brings new live dates in cities all over United States and Europe. Sean released new singles “I Won’t Let Go” August 2019, “FR333” September 2019, 3rd single “Guilty” December 13 2019, 4th single “Can We Go Driving” Jan 31 2020. Single no 5 is an acoustic version of “FR333” March 20th. “Let Life Love You” the new single due for release April 17th.
