Liv Miraldi Leads the Way in Nashville R&B Pop

Liv Miraldi is a feisty, young R&B, pop artist with an attitude who reflects that every time. Her unique vocal tone has been described as “intoxicatingly creepy” by the New York Post which barely begins to describe Liv’s fresh off the street talent. She is on her way to becoming one of the most authentic voices in pop that Nashville, next the world, has experienced. Liv Miraldi has worked with the likes of Ken Loi &  Jonathan Timberlake and continues to create a sound that doesn’t hold back any of its juicy, authentic flavors.

Definitely No “Dilemma” Here

Liv’s most recent release was a Nelly + Kelly Rowland early 2000s cover of “Dilemma”. Not everyone is able to nail such a classic hit, but there is no “Dilemma” here. Liv’s version of the track creates an alternative universe that is dreamy & light. It makes you want to dance the night away. Liv has cleverly captured something from the early 2000s that is so timeless. Similar to when Britney Spears & Christina Aguilera ruled supreme. A special era of pop music was birthed back then that I’ve coined as “Bubblegum Pop”. Liv Miraldi does a great job at paying tribute to Nelly & Kelly, while also adding her own spin on things.

Whoa Nelly

Liv proudly admits that she has been a Nelly fan since 1st grade (so relatable am I right?). She reminisces about the good old days and told me more about where the inspo came from.

” I remember jamming to “Dilemma” on the way to school and back. Fast forward 16 years, and I’m in the studio on my 22nd birthday. My producer Breakfast starts playing the same chords to “Dilemma”, and I was like YES, let’s remake this into a pop song. I was intimidated at first because it’s SUCH a classic, but I tried to make sure it was still up to par with the original while being totally different at the same time.”

Already being a blast from the past, I could relate to her story so well. As a teenager trying to find my identity in the early 2000s (Shocker), I frequently found solace jamming to artists like Nelly, Rihanna, and Britney, who never gave me grief about what mismatched outfit I was rocking that day to grade school. Music was a big escape for me and has become to define moments of my life and almost accompany them like a soundtrack to a movie. Most people my age can vividly remember exactly where they were when they heard “Dilemma” for the first time. And for this reason, I can’t help but agree that Liv’s version of “Dilemma” is a jam and a half and the perfect remedy for those missing the “good old days”.
