Our featured artist, Jeremy Parsons Music Video “Burn This House Down” is probably the most lit (see what I did there) projects we’ve seen all week. Showing off his classic country vocals and story telling, Parsons gives us a story of heartbreak and moving on.

“Burn This House Down” was the first song off of Parsons project (man i’m on one) “Things I Need To Say”. The song was written about heartache, the act of accepting it and moving on. A topic that has spared no one. It’s the type of song that effortlessly transcends from generation to generation through relatable story telling. I must say, heartache has held me captive a time or 5 in my life, and this song really struck a match with the emotions of wanting to rid your life of every memory.
Parsons dishes out the nasty truth of love. When the love goes from being something so beautiful and special, to being the complete opposite. After the demise of the relationship, you’re then left with all the memories. The memories that open the wounds and remind you of what once was. Memories that rip your heart out of your chest all over again while simultaneously taking your breath away. We try to eliminate these memories to be able to cope with the loss. Parsons references how there is not a room that wasn’t effected by her. The only way he will be able to move on is to just burn everything because she was so intertwined in his life.
