- Bre started writing “Periodic Poetry” in her car on her way to the studio from the wildly addictive, 5 points pizza. She still has the voice memo 🙂
- Bre says “We were going into the studio to write something completely different. The magic always happens that way.
- “Periodic Poetry” was written within 30 minutes.
- It’s always a fan-favorite live.Aand lets be honest, we see why, TASTY HARMONIES!
- Everytime KOZIOL KENNEDY plays it live, it continues to gain new meaning.
- Once it was written, they wanted it to sound like an Eagles tune.
- They rolled up late to the session, by they, we mean Bre. 🙂
- Bre is getting the song titled tattooed because she love the idea that life has a funny way of being poetic every once in awhile.
- Matt and Bre recorded the lead vocals and guitars complete in live takes.
- Jake Finch was brought in to add his yummy drumming to finish out the song.

It only takes absorbing the vocals for a few moments to hear KOZIOL KENNEDY’s harmonies are air tight. But when you sit back and truly digest this song, it hits in the corners of the heart that doesn’t often get touched. Maybe corners of your heart you’ve shut down.
In life we are hit with situations, heartbreak, that is necessary to grow us in ways that benefit our future. That build us for our master plan. That’s what “Periodic Poetry” is about. The necessary evils of life that are building blocks for our feature. That molds us into a little bit better of a you than yesterday.
We’ve all had that relationship that seemed unhealthy but the love that was invested in it far exceeded any negativities. You battled to go or stay. To love the other one through it all or just run to protect yourself from the potential pain. Sometimes we question if the waves are just part of life or if its just not the right relationship. Ultimately I would like to think I would choose Love above fear or pride, but that’s just not always the case is it?
