The Young Fables last album Old Songs blessed our earholes in 2018. After personal tragedy struck, and a year of healing & reflection, TYF began working on their album PAGES in 2019.

After getting it together they hit the studio with GRAMMY Award Winning producer Mitch Dane in January/February of 2020. Just as they we’re planning to launch their Kickstarter Campaign they had no idea what was just around the corner.

That’s So 2020

As they wrapped their process in the studio and we’re just ready to announce their Kickstarter to their fans, 2020 struck Nashville. Hard.

In the beginning of March the deadly and destructive Tornado ripped through our city taking with it many businesses, lives, and livelihoods. It was a tragic scene and one that brought our city together like we haven’t seen in a long time.

We decided to hold back our Kickstarter campaign because we believed it was poor timing to ask for help when so many were suffering

So Laurel & Wes delayed the launch of their Kickstarter to focus on the city and those suffering. Little did they, or any of us, know that wasn’t the last of it. a few short weeks later our country, and the world, faced something we hadn’t seen in our modern era. COVID struck and the world was put on pause. So was their hopes to launch their campaign and subsequently PAGES.

The Waiting Game

So they bid their time, like we all did. Waiting until it felt right. Last fall the time came. They launched their Kickstarter. $25,000 dollars to fund the release of not only the album PAGES but also a documentary The Fable Of A Song. I don’t think any of us could have expected what happened once it was live.

8 Days

Even during a year ravaged by unexpected tragedy, art still finds its way into peoples hearts and minds. The Young Fables have built a fan base of people who not only relate to but truly support the music they create. In only 8 days they reached their goal. 8 WHOLE DAYS! A statement to their fans and their consistent body of work. So much so they had an extension to raise money for the record to also be printed on Vinyl. We don’t have to tell you that happened quick too!

In total they had 176 backers pledged $30,759 to help bring this project to life. Almost 31K!!! Sheesh.

PAGES: For Your Ears Only

If you’re reading this and wondering “Well why didn’t I see it on NUMF this week?” well we have an answer! The Young Fables are rewarding their backers by giving them access first to the album. As of yesterday, March 5th, backers received the full digital copy of the album! That’s a perk of being an early adopter. So we don’t have it quite yet to share with you on our official Spotify Playlist, but what we can share with you is their track list for their latest project!
