Raviner is a dark blend of rock and lyric-driven pop. Songs such as “Scarlet” blend quiet undertones with raw, heavy riffs. The band merges deep songwriting with their choice of creative distortions. Joining forces right here in Nashville, Raviner hits the ground running with their first release since 2014.  Originally playing under the moniker “Kamber”, the band pivoted to adopt a name more suitable for their innovative sound in the rock scene.  You could call them market disruptors!  Now parading as Raviner, the band’s debut EP “Disconnected” was released in the fall of 2016.

Raviner combines the talents of Kamber Kigin (vocals, keys), Rob Shollenberger (drums), Austin Huelsback (bass) and Jon Wisecarver (guitar). We, at Nashville Unsigned, are known for featuring some of the top independent talent in the city. Raviner not only fit, but exceeded, our expectations by delivering a unique sound to Nashville’s rapidly growing rock scene. Marrying genres such as rock, pop, edm, and metal, Raviner didn’t see how they fit into existing genres, so they created their own.

“Scarlet” From the “Disconnected” EP

Check out Raviner’s music video for “Scarlet”. The dark track features melodic riffs, creative sound effects, distortion guitarRaviner "Scarlet" Nashville dark pop and rock and synthesizers. The members were reluctant to adopt such elements into the album. But the risk has paid off. “Scarlet” delivers slow verses with Kigin’s soft vocals and develops into a dynamic burst of energy. Guitarist Wisecarver and bassist Huelsback compliment Kigin’s voice by supporting her soaring vocals with a bed of low registering guitar work.

One of the most impressive characteristics of the band is their obvious possession of business “know-how”. Quality music videos, stunning promo images, and a unique and exciting website help to compliment the band’s clear identity. Raviner knew investing in their brand would help to enhance their footprint. The band has independently developed their craft and stands as a testament to the notion that ONE CAN BE SUCCESSFUL WITHOUT A LABEL. We love and admire Raviner’s dedication and persistence in gaining recognition for their many talents. Nashville Unsigned was POSITIVE, right from the get-go, that this band deserved a feature week on our site.
