This Nashville pop and EDM duo, pronounced “Lenox”, are natives who blend EDM with an edge of melodic pop rock and synth pop flavors.  This mixture came to life when front man Scott Taube and synth-player Brittany Furse-Taube fused musical influences after a break from the touring life.

After touring with Scott’s previous band, Philmont (EMI), for seven years, they wanted to start off fresh with a new sound.  Both were fans of Scott’s pop rock sound, but Scott wanted to write something completely different.

“After years of writing for the same band you start to run into limitations. You’re able to evolve your sound but you have to do so in baby steps so as not to alienate your existing fans.” Scott states in his Facebook bio.  He was looking for new inspiration, and found it his talented wife.LNYX Nashville pop and EDM

Though Brittany is new to being on stage.  However, she is experienced in the touring life.  Her EDM influence really gives Lnyx a burst of colorful effects and melodies.  She has a good ear for EDM, and that creates fun experiences with each song.

“Captivate”

Their EP “Captivate” is loaded with electronic bangers that embody the energy of rock.  The energy is high and vibrant throughout the EP.  Scott leads with this pop rock voice that brings the kind of energy rock normally delivers. This is complimented with the creative energy that EDM adds.  In fact, every song seems like a hard-hitting anthem that makes you want to dance.

This energy transitions into their live performance as well, which gives these two an edge in the Nashville pop and EDM scene.  It’s like a great live performance from a high-energy band meets an epic DJ set.  It’s not the kind of show where you just cross your arms and bob your head.  These guys are just as engaging as performers as they are creative musicians.
