Well the reason you may not know about her yet is because she is an independent artist, so she doesn’t have the labels pushing her out into this world, she does it with a small team. Jenn broke out on the scene with her single “Jealous of the Angels” written on behalf of her late father, which he was a heavy influence on her musical career. The success of that song was felt world wide. Earning Jenn Bostic the #1 spot in the U.K. For that song.

Back to the beginning, Jenn grew up in Minnesota where her dad began to feed her talents and passions by singing and playing instruments routinely in their household. When her dad passed away, the band he played in for years, Traveled Ground, took in Jenn as if she were family. Traveling around with the band and growing her talents, Jenn knew that a music based college was inevitable. Attending Berklee College of Music, Jenn dumped herself into the development of her craft. Sophomore year, Jenn was offered an opportunity to front a female country/ rock cover band, it was there she would learn to perform on stage and fine tune her songwriting skill set. jenn-bostic11

After college, she decided to move to Nashville to develop herself has a songwriter and artist even further. It is there she was deemed “too pop for country and too country for pop”. Jenn then self released “Jealous of the Angels” on an extremely low budget, released a video for it, and it was there a fan found it and got it into the right persons hands. Since then she’s gone to play on BBC RADIO 2, BBC breakfast, and the song went on to be #1 in the U.K. On the iTunes singer/ songwriter chart. She’s performed all over the world, with a small trusted team, and still remains an independent artist.

When we first heard the piano playing songstress, we were taken back. We thought, How could Nashville be sitting on a talent like Jenn Bostic, who has developed into herself as an artist, honed in on her skill sets, passions and talents and has become this Pop, soul princess, in Nashville claiming her very own unique niche in the industry. Jenn Bostic fills the void in the industry where artists such as Sara Bareilles,jenn-bostic13 Rachel Platten, Regina Spektor, and Colbie Caillat have all sat. Jenn’s ability to not only take you to the emotional space she wrote the songs in but delivers it in a way that gently takes you on this emotional rollercoaster. Jenn, we are honored to know you, to feature you, and to watch your journey. Keep working hard and we will be those people that say “We knew her when…”.
