Originally from desert of Phoenix, Arizona, this wandering pop group found a home in Nashville for their EP release “Oblivion”.  They’ve used this wanderlust as inspiration for their style.  There’s something about being out of your comfort zone can really do that, you just have to be a little brave. The band is led by front woman Julia Lauren, a talented, creative singer who nails her style.  Her voice is backed by Mark Eckert, Matt Mcconomy, Will Schoonmaker, and Lukas Radkey.  These are the guys that bring those vintage pop vibes to the instrumentals.

One of the coolest aspects about this group is how they embody that 80’s glam pop sound and recreate it at the same time.  They stylize a sound that was the go-to flavor of a decade and update it for 2017.  Even though the melody calls back to the radio hits of yesteryear, The Foxies have recreated this sound to fit an edgier, modern sound.  If you’re into the vibe of Billy Idol, The Cure and Blondie, you’re sure to dig these guys.

“Floods”

“Floods” is an incredibly fun song.  It’s lead by a pulsing drum beat with sharp hits, and layered with that retro synth ambiance.  Front woman Julia Lauren harkens back to singers like Tiffany and Blondie, all with a rock ‘n roll style and attitude.  The song is about that feeling you get in a new relationship.  This means it’s super positive, and the melody that follows it expresses that positivity.
