Previously known as Roxy Batz, Debi Batz traded her stage name for her real one as she drops her new album and debut single “Rollercoaster” next week!  Batz has been well-known for her stage presence and edgy lyrics, something she has taken to the next level in her latest musical efforts.  After touring in Europe for a few years as Roxy, Debi took a hiatus from music.  It’s definitely something understandable for someone who had been working on her first album since the age of 15.

Daughter of metal legend Alf Batz, lead guitarist of Iron Maiden, Debi has rock and roll in her blood.  She takes this same outlook to her music and brings Nashville a new pop rocker with mad vocal talent.  Her songs embrace a raw, emotional feeling with lyrics that mirror that vibe. You could say she’s grown up in many ways from her previous incarnation, both lyrically and musically.

“Rollercoaster”

Her first single from the new album and single “Rollercoaster” is set to release next week, followed by a full-length video!  This song is perfect for her new, evolved sound.  Lyrically, it is powerful in many ways and delves into the woes of an unstable relationship.  Her presence, however, is triumphant throughout the song

You can follow her debut album, set to be released later this year, on her website.  If you’re a long-time fan of Roxi Batz, or just someone who stumbled across this article on a whim, you’re sure to hear more from Batz this year.  You can follow the process of her album recording on her Facebook and Instagram.
